Ok just skimming through these I'll say June was a good month for me creatively. I really like all of these creations. The Collage creation was real fun. It was also an expression of basically what I do here. Manipulate photos of Mickey. These creations are keepsakes and sort of like scrap booking. Certain realistic elements were thrown in there but were slightly askew in appearance, like the scissors for instance. I did this because having a fan site isn't something that is perceived as normal by everyone's standards and I just wanted to touch a little on that in this creation. Just a fun one to do. Speaking of fun. I had the most fun working on the Fade To Black creation. You know Mickey's role didn't have a lot of screen time overall but Richie's bullying played a significant role in pushing Eric over the edge. I wanted to bring all this into the creation. I made it look like a comic because Eric didn't really have a realistic view on anything, especially not his killing, he always went into character mode before he did it. Reality is one of my favorite creations. I didn't touch the image to the left at all because in all its rawness it is Mickey Rourke. It is one of those rare honest photos of Mickey where he seems to have all the facade stripped away. It's not the actor in any way other than the fact that someone is standing infront of him taking a photo, its the man in all his unkempt and aged beauty...
